Here is a WIP guide how to land A ship in Brazil.

1. Ruff conceptual drawing and idea. Color Palette. Experimenting with Composition.

2. Setting the stage. Settling on Composition, working with story, playing with the Paradise feel of the Foreground. Framing the picture.

3. Early work with feel details on water and ship. Still not happy with the jungle, but slowly getting there.

4. Clouds paint and airbrushing, Working with details in story.

5. Finalizing story and compostion. Details on clouds, ship, birds and water. Texture and brush on beach

6. Final water, Clouds and ship. Details on beach, rock and sand. Changing Jungle again:) Needs to create alot of detail here in the Foreground to build on the depth. Working with lightning

7. Bg, Middle and Jungle in foreground finished. Working with depth and lighting.

8. Native finished, final lightning and filter :) TADAA

I like the progression. The color composition choice in the final image portray the ominous arrival of "civilized" man.

Thanx alot ;) I was actually very clear early on in the color pallete, my goal was to make the ships seem very dominent.. Almost divine. Haha in all their "civilized" manners
